DELIVERY INFORMATION
Scottish food delivered from the Highlands to your door
We carefully pack your order at Letterfinlay in Fort William before sending it directly to you anywhere across the UK.
UK DELIVERY
We use Royal Mail Tracked 24 for our mail-order deliveries.
Orders containing chilled products are packed in insulated packaging with ice packs to help maintain the correct temperature while your order is in transit.
Delivery is FREE on orders over £100.
WHEN WILL MY ORDER BE SENT?
We dispatch perishable mail-order deliveries Monday to Thursday and will normally send your order as soon as possible.
As a small family business, our orders are prepared and packed by a small team here in Fort William. Please allow us a little time to prepare your order before dispatch, particularly during busy periods.
Our Royal Mail collections take place between 9am and 12 noon and must be booked the previous day, so orders placed later in the day cannot always be dispatched the following morning.
If you would like your order to arrive around a particular date, for example, if you're sending a gift simply leave us a note at checkout and we'll do our best to arrange dispatch accordingly.
FRIDAY & WEEKEND DISPATCH
Because much of our range is perishable, we do not normally dispatch chilled orders on Fridays. This avoids your food being held in the postal network unnecessarily over the weekend.
Orders containing only suitable ambient products may be dispatched on a Friday where appropriate.
TRACKING YOUR DELIVERY
When we arrange your delivery, we provide Royal Mail with the email address and mobile number supplied with your order, allowing you to receive tracking updates directly from them.
If you have a preferred safe place or specific delivery instruction, please leave this in the notes at checkout and we'll add it to your Royal Mail delivery information.
KEEPING YOUR FOOD CHILLED
Your chilled order is carefully packed in insulated packaging with ice packs before leaving us in Fort William.
We have tested our mail-order packaging under extended delivery conditions, with chilled contents remaining at safe temperatures for more than 48 hours. This gives us additional confidence that your food remains properly chilled while making its journey to you.
We do not dispatch our mail-order products frozen.
DELIVERY THROUGHOUT THE UK
We send Letterfinlay mail orders to addresses throughout the UK, including islands and more remote locations.
While Royal Mail Tracked 24 is our chosen service, delivery times are not guaranteed and some destinations may occasionally take longer to reach.
IF THERE'S A PROBLEM WITH YOUR DELIVERY
If your parcel is delayed, damaged or you have any concerns about the condition of your food when it arrives, please contact us as soon as possible.
Our team will be happy to help and resolve any problems with your order.
CHRISTMAS & BUSY PERIODS
Christmas is one of our busiest times of year and earlier order cut-off dates will apply.
We'll publish our Christmas ordering and final dispatch dates each year.
If you're sending a Christmas gift and would prefer it to arrive closer to Christmas, simply leave your preferred date in the notes when ordering and we'll arrange dispatch as closely as possible.
